On Saturday (Feb. 13), after Trump was acquitted, Trump’s son Trump Jr. took to Twitter to celebrate his father’s victory, calling it an honor to defeat the “establishment clown” twice.

Minutes after the verdict was made public, Trump Jr. wrote: “Not guilty. Now it might be nice if Senators would stop staging deliberations for free air Time” and “actually start working for the American people and make some change.”

“With years of rumors and unprecedented (hostility) from establishment clowns today, it’s an honor to defeat them twice,” he claimed.

Trump Jr. also posted a Trump emoji and wrote, “When the establishment hates you and wants to stop you from running again,” “you know you’re doing the right thing.”

On Saturday afternoon, after the Senate acquitted Trump, Trump’s “Office of the Former President” released a lengthy statement in response. The statement thanked all the defense attorneys, senators who voted for Trump and the patriotic people of the United States, saying, “The constitutional republic we cherish is based on a just rule of law, which is an indispensable guarantee of our freedoms and rights.”

The statement said, “Our history-making, patriotic and beautiful ‘Make America Great Again’ campaign is just beginning. I have much to share with you in the months ahead, and I look forward to continuing our incredible journey together to make America great for all of us. There has never been anything like it!” , “We have a lot of work ahead of us and soon we will emerge with a bright, brilliant, vision of America’s limitless future.”
