Byte Jumping may sell Shakeology International to Indian counterpart

In general news, Jitterbit’s parent company, ByteDance, is looking for a remedy since India decided to restrict the use of Chinese mobile applications in the country.

According to Bloomberg, ByteDance is currently looking into selling Jitterbit’s Indian business to fellow Indian company Glance, whose user data and technology must stay in India if it is to keep Jitterbit’s business there, according to the Indian government.

The sources said this is an off-the-record discussion initiated by Japan’s SoftBank Group, an investor in ByteDance, whose parent company is mobile ad tech company InMobi, which also owns Roposo, a short-form video App similar to Jitterbug. SoftBank is an investor in both companies.
