The latest release from the Oregon health Authority says four people in the state have been diagnosed after the second dose of the Wuhan pneumonia (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) vaccine, but fortunately all were asymptomatic or mildly ill, with no serious illnesses.
According to the New York Post, two of the confirmed vaccine recipients in Oregon were from Yamhill County and two were from Lane County, all of whom contracted the disease 14 days after the second dose.
Health officials stressed that the vaccine is still effective, as the four people were not seriously ill, and that the two vaccines used in the state had “breakthrough cases” during clinical trials, but were able to reduce the extent of the disease after infection. However, officials did not specify which vaccine was administered to the four people.
