The FBI arrested the “helmet man” of the congressional riots, who was a fugitive from justice – The “helmet man” of the congressional riots has a long criminal record and has been arrested and charged by the FBI

The Helmet Man, who smashed the door of the House of Representatives at the Capitol on Jan. 6, was recently arrested and charged by the FBI in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, a Gateway Pundit said Thursday (Feb. 11).

The helmet man, Zachary Jordan Alam, has a long criminal history in Virginia, has been involved in numerous crimes and is a former fugitive from justice on a felony arrest. Court documents also show that Alam has been indicted at least six times since 2016. NetGate experts believe it is unlikely that Aram is a supporter of President Trump.

On Jan. 6, Alam had an “aggressive” confrontation with officers at the entrance to the House chamber. Court records show that Alam repeatedly shouted obscenities at the officers, then began kicking at the door and finally “punched” the door’s two panes of glass with his helmet. Veteran Babbitt was shot and killed as she tried to climb through one of the broken windows.

After the shooting, Alam evacuated the Capitol and put on a helmet taken from someone else, according to the arrest report.

The FBI learned of Alam through one of his relatives, according to court documents. Alam told the relative, “He regrets what he did at the Capitol, but he didn’t want to turn himself in because he didn’t want to go back to jail.”

Alam was charged with assault with a dangerous or deadly weapon on a federal officer; destruction of more than $1,000 in government property; obstructing an official proceeding; unlawful entry into a restricted building or grounds; and violent entry and disorderly conduct.

The Gateway Pundit says more evidence suggests that many of those who stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 were there not to protest a stolen election, but to cause trouble and embarrass Trump and his peaceful protesters.
