The “Vulgar Wiki” case, in which a group of young people were arrested and sentenced for leaking the personal information of Communist Party leader Xi Jinping’s daughter and her brother-in-law, has attracted attention. As the Parents of the convicted men continue to plead their sons’ grievances, the entire case has become public knowledge.
The parents of those involved in the case have repeatedly said in letters to the relevant authorities that these young people with no experience were convicted “for their words” and that the task force’s definition of the behavior of the members of the vulgar wiki site as a “criminal group of evil forces” was too bad.
The wiki is said to be a non-political website. The wiki members who provide real information, almost no one dares to get involved in politics. When the task force closed the case, it did not catch any of the “crazy anti-China” elements, but heavily punished the vulgar wiki members. In fact, many of the sensitive privacy trafficked online comes from the public security query system, which is a black market within public security.
In the eyes of parents, the members of the vulgar wiki are all young people with a fresh, primitive sense of justice, mostly students, nearly 60 percent of them minors, who form a small circle for various reasons, such as pursuing justice, fighting evil, exposing the truth, curiosity, making friends, having fun, getting rid of loneliness, releasing pressure and fighting back.
A few days ago, Xiao Yanrui, the founder of Vulgar Wiki, told the Epoch Times about the leak of Xi Jinping and his daughter’s household information, which had nothing to do with Vulgar Wiki members.
Xiao Yanrui emphasized that Xi Jinping and his family’s personal information was posted on the support wiki website, and that political content is strictly prohibited on the wiki. It is because political content is not allowed on the wiki that the wiki was started.
And the exposure of Xi and his daughter’s household registration information was an internal leak from the CCP police. “It’s just that someone passed it to our website, we didn’t take the initiative to go out (to inquire) about her information.”
Xiao Yanrui described how easy it is to obtain personally identifiable information in China. “The process is too simple, pay the cops (police) and it comes out very cheaply. It should be said that it is the credit of the cops, and this is why they are always afraid to mention this information in the case files. The circle is big, a lot of cops are involved, and cops use Telegram and Bitcoin.”
For example, there are young cops who go over the wall to make money, and young cops are also internet users. Members and police officers are usually in direct contact through Telegram, and some people specialize in this information trade.
“There are cops being dealt with all the Time, there are cops doing it all the time. Traffic police can do, such as that police pass, they hand a, generally 15 yuan to give a photo address. Do not know the ID number (for example, only know the name gender birthday and location) 60 yuan a.” He said.
Xiao Yanrui revealed that Xi Jinping himself household registration information is spent 6,000 yuan. Xi Mingze the earliest one from the Education Bureau’s system, the other party did not know they were out of Xi Jinping’s daughter, so it did not cost anything. Later that system for immigration was very expensive.
He said, “Xi Jinping’s information came out relatively early, at the end of 2018. At that time, several people entrusted a police officer to check it, and gave him 6,000 yuan, and he went to do it. The population system to check high officials will pop up alerts and also leave records for the operation, and the room where the population is checked also has cameras, so that police officer did not end up well.”
The first photo of Xi Mingze, around the first quarter of 2019, was first tweeted by a netizen named “spider” and he coded and watermarked it, before a version without the code appeared later on the Red Bank Foundation and the Chinawiki.
The company’s ID card was brought out when Xi Jinping’s family was registered, and Xi Mingze’s ID card was used to get a photo out of the Education Bureau system. Xi Mingze is not protected in the system, the traffic police can be found in the police pass.
Xi Mingze second photo, is the immigration system. “The other side of the police should be for the money, very expensive, especially especially expensive. Immigration system is very powerful, with information on the movement of people, took the plane and stayed in the hotel, there are records.”
“We are all International Students or high school students, if it were not for the Chinese (Communist Party) police to engage in this, there is not so much.” Xiao Yanrui said.
According to the report, the highest daily traffic of the vicious wiki is 140,000 people, and the exact number of members is about one to two thousand people. Administrators need to take the initiative to apply and contribute certain words. But the Vulgar Wiki does not rate contributions, so there are no influential members.
“Members contribute words, I just provide the platform.” Xiao Yanrui said, according to his understanding, public security is caught as registered users, and only caught with administrative privileges. The site did not verify their real names, but need to fill in the qq number, the network police follow the QQ to catch people.
And in June 2019 an administrator was arrested, the police got the account and entered the backstage of the vicious wiki.
Xiao Yanrui said, “These young people are TG (telegraph) users, do not know each other’s names, I also because of this case, saw the case file and verdict to know what is behind the screen name.”
The reporter noticed that the victim statement part of the verdict of Guangdong Maoming Maonan District Court did not mention Xi Mingze or Chu Chen, only Deng Mougui’s statement, “confirming that he was published his personal information on the vicious wiki website and the Chinawiki website.”
The verdict of the Maonan District Court in Maoming City, Guangdong, includes a statement from Xi’s brother-in-law, Deng Jiagui, as the victim. The top image is a screenshot of the verdict, and the bottom image is the words included in the existing vile wiki. (composite image)
Xiao Yanrui said, “The defendant in this case file originally also had Song, who had a red background and was released back to Australia. The site manager Gu also did not appear in the verdict. The background of Gu Mou is very powerful, his father is the Shanghai Education Bureau, his mother is a senior executive of Ant Financial Services and a representative of the Shanghai Pudong District People’s Congress, and has links with Gong Daoan, director of the Shanghai Public Security Bureau, so he was unharmed in this case. Niu Tengyu, however, was falsely accused of being the main culprit and suffered greatly.”
“Niu Tengyu is only a technical support provider in the Vulgar Wiki, not even too interested in the Vulgar Wiki, and he usually avoids security issues and avoids politics.”
Xiao Yanrui himself has been under a lot of pressure, listed as a fugitive, and authorities have been harassing his mother. He was previously tricked into returning to the country to assist in the investigation, saying he would not be prosecuted.
Xi family information uploader speaks out and testifies
During the interview, an editor-in-chief of Chinawiki and the Red Bank Foundation, who requested anonymity, contacted the reporter and stated that he was the person who uploaded Xi Mingze and Xi Jinping’s household registration information to Chinawiki, and that he had led the “debriefing” of the Zhao family (an Internet buzzword for powerful Communist Party members).
The so-called “debut” is to disclose the personal information and household registration of the person concerned.
“I was the original uploader, but I wasn’t the one who dug them out of the database. But I’m the one who made him public to expand his influence.” He said.
The editor-in-chief described the two sites, Vicious Wiki and Chinawiki, as having intersected, but two systems. The purpose of Chinawiki is Anti-Communist, targeting online commentators, Zhao family members and officials, not ordinary people. The two sites are similar in format, but their positioning and goals are completely different. Vicious Wiki is a subcultural circle.
He said, “Vicious Wiki has its shortcomings and indeed misbehaves, but that’s no reason for them to be arrested and persecuted. No one was held accountable before, and this time out of the household of the Zhao family, they were tragically persecuted. Having operated for years before, it also reflects that the Chinese Communist government cares nothing at all about the privacy of its people and is a very selfish, self-serving, straw man state that does not treat Chinese people as human beings.”
The editor-in-chief described the case as having been filed on June 14, 2019, the day before Xi Jinping’s birthday. in August 2018, Xi Mingze’s household registration was first made public on Twitter, posted by an unidentified person who had opened an account at the time and listed the household registrations of many members of the Zhao family.
In May or June 2019, information about Xi’s father and daughter was uploaded to the Chinawiki and put up on the front page.
“Back in March 2019 a person surnamed Zhang was arrested for making pictures of ‘breast buns’ for Chinawiki and was eventually sentenced to 10 months in prison for provocation, which started out as incitement to subversion. Since then, we have become more disgusted with the Chinese Communist Party. At first, the website debuted not to senior officials, but to branch-level cadres, such as those engaged in public opinion propaganda for the Communist Youth League and online commentators, but from then on the wind of the website changed and began to hang senior state leaders.” The editor-in-chief said.
According to the report, Xi Mingze’s more comprehensive information came in June 2019. Someone tweeted her Hong Kong and Macau Permit number and broke the news that the current household registration name is Chu Chen (changed in September 2009). But there is also a current argument that that photo is not the person, it was taken from someone else’s photo to register in the household registration system to keep the real person from being exposed.
“Xi Mingze circulated outside the adult photo on this most reliable, because it is from inside the household registration system, is out of the public security. The others are all fake.” He said.
The reporter learned that the relevant technical staff to verify Xi Mingze household registration information include: 1. Xi Mingze and Xi Jinping origin county consistent (Fuping County, Shaanxi Province). 2. household registration is now located in the West Flannel Hutong No. (West Chang’an Street police station), the location is similar. 3. Xi Jinping was an official in Zhejiang, during which Xi Mingze also has Hangzhou education experience. 4. go abroad to Harvard time in line with the immigration records time. 5. The first time the Chinese government has been in charge of the Chinese government, the Chinese government has been in charge of the Chinese government.
The editor-in-chief believes that Niu Tengyu is the scapegoat in this case. The police have moved the blame on Niu Tengyu because of the interconnected relationship between Vulgar Wiki and Chinawiki. The police have made Vulgar Wiki an “anti-Japanese” website.
The so-called “Jing-Ji”, full name “Spiritual Japanese”, initially refers to Chinese people who like to wear Japanese World War II uniforms (cosplay), because of the history of Japan’s invasion of China, “Jing-Ji” Because of Japan’s history of invasion of China, the term “Jing-Ji” means “national traitor,” but now the scope of the crackdown has been severely expanded.
“The company’s main business is to promote the development of the company’s products and services. Chinese nation, is ‘elitist’, on such a logic, forced to buckle.” He said.
