U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko, a Republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Arizona, is a member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Debbie Lesko (D-CA).

U.S. Rep. Debbie Lesko, R-Ariz. Debbie Lesko (R-CA) reintroduced a bill on Monday, February 8, to deny visas to top Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials and their families, as well as active duty CCP military personnel, in an effort to stop the CCP’s theft of U.S. intellectual property.

The name of the bill is the Stop China (CCP) Intellectual Property Theft Act. The bill would prohibit the issuance of visas to senior CCP officials, their spouses and children, including 25 members of the CCP’s Central Political Bureau, including Xi Jinping and seven other members of the Standing Committee; more than 200 members of the CCP’s Central Committee; and more than 2,000 national delegates to the 19th Communist Party Congress.

In addition, members of the Chinese central government’s cabinet (i.e., heads of ministries and commissions) and active duty members of the Communist Party’s military are also on the list of visa bans.

Rep. Lesko from Arizona issued a statement Feb. 8 saying, “We cannot continue to tolerate China’s (CCP) attempts to steal our intellectual property.”

“This legislation is critical to protecting our intellectual property and fighting the global threat posed by the Chinese Communist Party.”

Rep. Lesko was also the one who first introduced this bill in November 2020. The bill was reintroduced this year with the addition of several Representatives as co-sponsors, such as Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.). Andy Biggs of Arizona, Mo. The bill is co-sponsored by Representatives Andy Biggs of Arizona, Mo Brooks of Alabama, and Matt Gaetz of Florida. Matt Gaetz of Florida, Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, and Andy Biggs of Arizona, Mo Brooks of Alabama, and Matt Gaetz of Florida. Scott Perry of Pennsylvania, Greg Steube of Florida. Greg Steube of Florida, Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin, and Tom G. G. Tifani of Wisconsin. Tom Tiffany of Wisconsin and Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey. Jeff Van Drew of New Jersey (Jeff Van Drew).

All of these Representatives are Republicans, including Rep. Van Drew, who used to be a Democrat but switched to the Republican Party in late 2019 because he was unhappy with the left-leaning insanity of the Democratic Party and ran as a Republican candidate in the 2020 general election, winning his district again.

Under the Stop China (CCP) Intellectual Property Theft Act, the visa ban, once in place, requires a very strict process to be lifted, requiring the Director of National Intelligence to certify to the respective Judiciary Committees of the federal House and Senate that the CCP regime has indeed “ceased sponsoring, funding, facilitating, and actively working to support efforts to violate the intellectual property rights of U.S. companies and citizens “or the ban may not be lifted.

During President Trump‘s administration, the U.S. Department of Justice has brought multiple indictments against various Chinese and U.S. persons for allegedly concealing ties to the CCP and stealing intellectual property from U.S. companies and institutions.

Among the most recent cases, Chen Gang, a Chinese-American professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), was arrested and indicted on Jan. 14 for allegedly concealing his ties to the Chinese Communist government from the U.S. Department of Energy.

On Jan. 13, Meyya Meyyappan, a senior NASA scientist, pleaded guilty to lying about his previous denial of his membership in the Chinese Communist Party’s “Thousand Talents Program.

John Ratcliffe, director of national intelligence under President Trump, pleaded guilty to lying about his membership in the Chinese Communist Party’s Thousand Talents Program. John Ratcliffe, the director of national intelligence under President Trump, told the American public in a December 2020 article in the Wall Street Journal, “Today, China [the Chinese Communist Party] poses the greatest threat to the United States and the greatest threat to democracy and freedom around the world since World War II.”

Ratcliffe also made a point of saying, “The intelligence is clear: Beijing intends to dominate the United States and the entire planet economically, militarily and technologically.”
