Myanmar police raided the National League for Democracy (NLD) headquarters in Yangon tonight, two elected lawmakers from Aung San Suu Kyi’s party said.
They said more than 10 police officers forced their way into the NLD headquarters.
The NLD announced later on its Facebook page that “military dictators raided and destroyed the NLD headquarters at around 9:30 p.m.
In a military coup in Myanmar on January 1, a number of senior members of the ruling party, including senior state minister and substantive leader Ung San Suu Kyi, were arrested. The crowd took to the streets today for the fourth consecutive day to protest the military’s seizure of power.
