Why Does the Left Want to Destroy Patriotism? An in-depth analysis by American scholars

Mount Rushmore, also known as Presidential Hill, in South Dakota, U.S.

Writing in American Thinker on Tuesday (Feb. 9), American scholar and freelance Writer Paul Krause said the left’s frenzied desecration and destruction of America’s cultural heritage and historical statues is because these histories tell the true story of American progress and inclusion, freedom and equality, and highlight the remarkable American spirit. And these are precisely at odds with the Left’s false narrative manipulated by demonic inspiration and power. Therefore, the left must then eradicate them once and for all.

The following is a translation of an excerpt from the article.

Over the past year, we have witnessed the left’s assault on our cultural heritage and history. The anti-American iconoclasm of the radical economy now sweeping across America is a force of absolute desecration. Given the opportunity, it would annihilate our entire history and heritage. Initially, they targeted Confederate monuments with a racist high note. With the support of establishment conservatism, these same anti-American iconoclasts quickly turned to Lincoln, Grant and other heroes of the American Civil War. What is surprising is what this war against our artwork means. Those establishment conservatives have either willfully or ignorantly blinded themselves.

How did it come to this? It is well known that anti-American and anti-Western liberals have been on a “long march” through our institutions, seeing themselves as the vanguard of eliminating the evils of white Western Christian civilization. These are their own words. Following the radical deconstructionist theories of neo-Marxism left behind in Europe, these anti-traditional zealots have embraced a new theory of discursive power and oppression rather than a theory of economic power and oppression. The rise of a new nihilistic middle class, rather than a working class, would lead the revolution and radicalism and destroy the middle bourgeoisie they originated from and at the same Time abhorred.

Humans are story-creating creatures. We love stories, and stories convey ideals and morals to the next generation. Plato understood this reality very well, which is why he understated the poets. Because poets like to promote falsehood and immorality, they must be curbed. Since Plato, we have been grappling with the story of art, statues and public landscapes.

“The 1619 Project” (The 1619 Project) should be seen as a disguised critique of all patriots. It clearly reveals the ideology of the anti-American movement within the United States. According to the 1619 Project, America is racist, based on racism, and made strong by racism and white supremacy. “The 1619 Project asserts that the evil of our racism is present in all aspects of American Life. As has become commonplace, racism is our “original sin” and “inherent flaw.

It should come as no surprise that our public monuments and statues, especially those honoring Lincoln, Grant and the Founding Fathers, have been attacked. The profane and barbaric loathe our public landscapes, especially those revered by the Founding Fathers and Civil War heroes, because these statues challenge their sour fundamentalism. The portraits that mark America’s independence, the abolition of black slavery, and national unity and reconciliation are an enduring testament to the goodness of America.

America is the land of freedom, progress and opportunity. Nothing illustrates these realities better than our public statues and symbols. These monumental and timeless statues tell a story that is the opposite of the America depicted by the 1619 Project and the savages and thugs in the streets.

Washington’s statue symbolizes the beacon of freedom to which we all aspire. In contrast to the cowardly Antipas, Lincoln showed true political courage in his fight for freedom, progress and reconciliation. Grant amply demonstrated military fortitude and determination, not to mention his military genius ……

As long as statues of the Founding Fathers, Lincoln, Grant and other American Civil War heroes dot our public landscapes, they tell the story of America’s progress, freedom and the more beautiful angelic triumphs of our nature. It is because they tell those stories that the anti-American left must destroy the symbols of those stories, because the statues are countering the false narratives that gave those men demonic inspiration and power.

Indeed, if America is a land of freedom, progress and opportunity that becomes more and more free and beautiful as time passes, then the false narratives of the neo-destroyers will lose their market. Therefore, they must destroy all the statues and monuments that tell the story of America as we know it to be true: an imperfectly unified nation that has become more perfect with the passage of time. This takes us back to 1619, not 1776 or 1865.

1776 was a watershed year in human history. Until recently, everyone knew this. Even Europeans have long followed the example of the United States. (Now, we seem to be following the example of the Europeans.) Europeans flocked to America for the opportunity to participate in the growing movement for freedom and equality, and the failed revolutions of 1848 and 1849 brought a renewed wave of Europeans to American shores as their last and best hope for freedom from persecution. Many of those who came to America after the failed 1848 Revolution, like Carl Schulz, became important leaders of the new Republican Party.

The stories of our cherished statues and symbols, from the freedoms promised and manifested by men like Washington, Jefferson and Madison, to the new freedom and equality championed by Lincoln and the heroes of the Civil War, must be “reassessed” (a favorite buzzword of the savage left) as racism. So to the left, the presence of these statues and symbols in our public squares and spaces is a manifestation of the original evil of racism and white supremacy.

Our Founding Fathers started the great story of American freedom, progress and hope. That story continues to unfold after their deaths, and their spirits are with us. Lincoln said that the foundation of our nation was “the condemnation and stumbling block to …… tyranny and oppression. If Lincoln is right, then Project 1619 is wrong, but if Project 1619 is not wrong, then Lincoln must go. This is the logic of the new vandals who are desecrating our streets and parks, whether they are from the streets or elected officials.

In the spirit of the destructive demons that have spread across America, we must treat any sign or symbol of our history and heritage with hatred and disgust as long as they are preserved. Why?

Their purpose is to make us abandon our noble history and tradition of freedom, equality and progress. By giving up our noble history and traditions, we give in to the anti-American forces and they can exterminate us, which is the only way they think we can forgive. Theirs is a world without forgiveness and grace. Ours, on the other hand, is a world of grace, reconciliation and Divine salvation, which are cherished and commemorated in our sculptures and paintings for us to remember. And such a world is so diametrically opposed to the sour ideology of our opponents that they cannot allow it to exist and must be destroyed.

This is why the left hates people who fight for greater freedom, equality and justice. Washington and Lincoln must go because their presence terrifies the New Left in America. If they are right, then the left is wrong.

We must cherish our artistic and cultural heritage because it tells the story. By cherishing the sculpture of freedom and progress, we are telling the story of excellence because it is also the true story. Our story is the true story of American progress and inclusion, freedom and equality. The truth will set you free!
