U.S. President Joe Biden flew to his Home state of Delaware on Air Force One on Friday for the first Time as president to spend the weekend with his Family and to take stock of items that need to be moved to his new home in the White House.
The 78-year-old Biden belongs to a group at high risk of contracting Chinese Communist pneumonia, and has been criticized for cutting back on unnecessary travel in the face of the Epidemic.
Biden returned to his apartment in Wilmington on the same day, he said he intended to spend the weekend with his wife Jill and grandchildren, and at the same time counted the necessary items in the residence for Life in the White House.
The media reported that Biden’s trip was neither to promote his economic bailout nor to meet with allies, questioning whether the trip was necessary in the face of a raging epidemic.
Biden has repeatedly stressed the need to be a role model for the nation against the epidemic, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention earlier issued guidelines for outbound travel, advising nationals to avoid non-essential travel during the epidemic, and to wait for the second dose of vaccine for two weeks before planning a trip, if circumstances permit. A White House spokesman said Biden received his second dose of vaccine three weeks ago and that the risk of the trip was not high.
