Rasmussen poll: More than half of U.S. people think media is friendlier to Biden administration

U.S. polling firm Rasmussen Report conducted a poll this week on how friendly the media is to the two presidents before and after Donald Trump and Joe Biden, to see what potential voters in the United States think. The results show that more than half of the voters think the media is more friendly to Biden.

According to the report released by the Rasmussen Reports on Thursday (4), 55% of all potential voters surveyed think the media is much friendlier to Biden than Donald Trump; 13% think the media is friendlier to Trump; 27% think the media is friendlier to Biden; and 27% think the media is friendlier to Trump. The poll shows that 55% of all potential U.S. voters surveyed think the media is much friendlier to Biden than Donald Trump; 13% think the media is friendlier to Trump; 27% think the media is about the same to both; and 5% of voters have no opinion.

According to the poll, 77% of all Republican supporters surveyed believe the media has clearly been much friendlier to Biden in the 2 weeks since his inauguration; only 33% of all Democratic supporters surveyed believe the same; and 55% of all neutral voters hold the same view.

The Rasmussen Report surveyed 1,000 potential U.S. voters on Tuesday and Wednesday (2-3), with a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

The Daily Beast reported this week that when reporters attend White House press briefings, White House staff will ask them what questions they want to ask beforehand. But it remains unclear how many reporters comply with the White House’s rules. The White House Correspondents’ Association is urging reporters to ignore the rule.
