A few days ago, the news that 14 newborns were diagnosed with pneumonia at a moon child care center in Shenyang City hit the microblogging hotspots and sparked heated debate on the Internet. According to the Parents of the children, the club deliberately concealed the condition of the children, resulting in 14 babies infected with pneumonia, and 12 babies are still in the intensive care unit.

On February 4, a parent disclosed to the mainland media that 14 newborns were infected with viral pneumonia at the Shenyang Huangyue Time Home Care Club (a monthly child care center) in Liaoning province.

The child’s parent, Mr. Zhang, said his child was born on January 6 and is now in intensive care due to pneumonia infection.

He said the first baby examined for pneumonia in the clubhouse was hospitalized on Jan. 16, but the clubhouse did not notify other parents and did not remind parents to pay attention to protection. “When we went to the hospital for checkups accompanied by nursing staff, they knew the specific condition, but we were never reminded to take precautions.”

It was not until many babies were sick and parents sent their children to Shenyang Children’s Hospital one after another that they learned that all babies in the clubhouse were sick.

Another parent said his child entered the clubhouse on January 24, and on January 26, his child had symptoms such as cough and nasal congestion. But the physician at the clubhouse told him that this was normal.

The company’s main goal is to provide the best possible service to its customers.

Mr. Chen, a parent, said that 14 children have been diagnosed, and now 12 are hospitalized, all in the ICU intensive care unit.

Mr. Chen said the clubhouse staff told them that the child was a little stuffy nose and asked them to watch and observe, and was shocked when they arrived at the hospital, newborns do not cough, and once the cough appears it is definitely pneumonia.

Mr. Chen said they had just become parents and had no experience, the clubhouse could have been avoided if they had told other parents when they found the first baby was sick. Therefore, the parents were particularly angry with the club for hiding the baby’s condition.

The parents also complained about the irregular management of the clubhouse, “The caregivers are not one-on-one, and there are no restrictions on access to the clubhouse. There was also a mix of milk powder scoops and saliva wipes”. Parents speculate that this was a major cause of the children contracting pneumonia en masse.

For parents alleging that they were not notified in time to take precautions, the person in charge of the center said they were notified in place. After the matter came to light, the moon child center agreed to return part of the cost of accompanying the child and was willing to cover the cost of the child beyond the medical insurance settlement.

The Epidemic is currently in the midst of a communist virus pandemic, with a serious outbreak in Shenyang earlier in the year, which was once in a state of war, and now the epidemic continues to spread, with people worried about whether these newborns are infected with the communist virus.

The Shenyang CDC responded by saying that the preliminary judgment is that some of the affected children are infected with respiratory syncytial virus, which does not belong to the category of infectious diseases. It also pointed out that there is no disinfection system and other irregularities in the management of the moon child center.

The CDC also conducted a nucleic acid test on the club’s work entry staff and released a negative result.

The public is still suspicious of this mass infection of pneumonia among infants, as the Chinese Communist Party has consistently concealed the outbreak. The cause of the newborns’ illness is currently under further investigation.

Parents have now reported the problem to public security and health authorities. Some parents reported that the monthly club was unwilling to continue communication with the parents, claiming that they wanted to solve the problem through legal means.

After the incident, the club’s staff told the media that there are now no babies in the club.

The news of 14 newborns contracting pneumonia en masse immediately hit Weibo hotspots, sparking hot debate among netizens: “Oh my God, which sister-in-law got (the CCP virus)? It’s horrible, such places have to do frequent checkups, right?”

“My God, all the newborn babies ah, just to the human world to suffer this kind of suffering, must be strictly investigated this moon child center.”

“My God, so many newborns get sick, parents have to die of heartache, must be strictly investigated ah.”

“The baby is too small, I hope to hurry up and treat it well and get through it safely, get well soon!”
