French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the opaqueness of China’s new crown vaccine on April 4; saying it has the potential risk of triggering a variant strain of the virus. Macron said: I don’t have any information about the Chinese vaccine, I don’t comment on it, but it is a fact. He called for a holistic approach to effectively increase the speed of vaccination.
The Manaus and Amazon variants of the virus already dominate the northern region of Brazil. French President Emmanuel Macron told the Atlantic Council think tank: This means that in the medium and long term, it is almost certain that the vaccine in China at this stage is not only not fit for purpose; it also leads to new mutated viruses.
