Texas Governor Authorizes: Use All Legal Means to Challenge Biden‘s Policies
Texas is the largest oil and gas producing state in the United States, and on Thursday (Jan. 28), Texas Governor Greg Abbott authorized state agencies to use all legal means to file a legal challenge to Biden’s policies.
President Biden signed an executive order Wednesday suspending the issuance of new oil and gas leases in federal territory and cutting fossil fuel subsidies.
Gov. Abbott has filed lawsuits against the federal government 31 times during his tenure as Texas attorney general. He said state agencies should find opportunities to sue the federal government because it has acted excessively.
Gov. Abbott also said Texas cities are prohibited from blocking natural gas equipment under a state bill he plans to file.
Texas produces 41 percent of U.S. Crude Oil and 25 percent of natural gas, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.

Congressional Republicans strongly oppose Biden’s executive order in question, saying it is killing jobs while also threatening national security.
Biden Advances Obamacare Repeal of Abortion Organization Funding Ban
Biden is taking executive steps to enhance former President Barack Obama’s legacy on health care. Also repealed by the Biden Administration: a ban that prevents international nonprofit organizations that provide abortion counseling or referrals from receiving federal funding to protect abortion access in the United States and abroad.
Biden will sign an executive order Thursday (Jan. 28) directing the Department of Health and Human Services to reopen the federal Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance exchanges through the Government Health (HealthCare.gov) website. The order provides additional Time for people in 36 states who have lost health insurance coverage in the midst of a coronavirus pandemic to apply.
The White House said in a news release that the policy provides for a regular application period through Government Health (HealthCare.gov) that is usually the last six weeks of the year. The additional special application period lasts from Feb. 15 to May 15, after the initial period ends in December.
The Biden administration said the new order is designed to strengthen Obamacare, Medicare and reproductive health care services to counter attempts by the Trump administration and Republicans to repeal Obamacare.
Former President Trump had promised to eliminate (Obamacare, Obamacare) during his 2016 campaign. During his time in office, the Trump Administration cut funding for the Obamacare marketplace enrollment period and provided assistance to those struggling to understand the system. His team also joined states in challenging the constitutionality of Obamacare in front of the Supreme Court. But in blocking the ACA, Trump has never been able to repeal and completely replace the law.
As part of the focus of Thursday’s health care proposal, Biden will also sign a presidential memorandum to protect abortion access in the United States and abroad. With the new bill, Biden will repeal the Mexico City Policy, which prevents international nonprofit organizations that provide abortion counseling or referrals from receiving federal funding. The new act would also require the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to review its Title X Family planning regulations.
U.S. Epidemic Prevention in Two Scenarios: Death Rate from Infection in Democratic Blue States Three Times Greater than in Republican Red States
Pictured is a field hospital tent outside the emergency room at Martin Luther King Jr. Community Hospital near Willowbrook in Los Angeles, California, on Jan. 6, 2021.
The response of U.S. states to the Chinese Communist virus (Wuhan pneumonia) pandemic appears to be split along partisan lines, with the death rate from infection in Democratic areas three times higher than in Republican areas, according to one statistical analysis.
As of Wednesday (Jan. 27), U.S. counties that voted for Democrat Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election reported 39 deaths per 100,000 residents from the Chinese Communist virus, according to a Reuters survey of population and public health data. In contrast, counties that voted for Republican Donald Trump in the same year had only 13 deaths per 100,000 people from the virus.
This imbalanced mortality rate from the epidemic reflects the fact that the CCP virus suffered disproportionately from the epidemic in cities like New York that voted Democratic at high densities, while rural areas and remote suburbs that supported Republicans were not so directly affected.
This pattern of impact was also true outside of New York, the center of the U.S. epidemic. In 36 of the 50 states, Democratic counties have higher reported death rates than Republican counties.
In Maryland, the disease has killed more than 2,000 people, and the death rate in the Democratic suburbs of Washington is four times higher than in conservative Appalachian panhandle counties.
In Kansas, where the disease has killed 152 people, the death rate in the two pro-Hillary Clinton counties is seven times higher than in the rest of the state.
But there are some exceptions.
Republican counties in Delaware, Nebraska and South Dakota, which have reported more prominent death rates, have had multiple confirmed outbreaks in meatpacking plants in those areas. However, although outbreaks in Republican counties in Montana, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, and Texas were more severely affected, mortality rates in these locations remained well below the national average.
New York State Attorney General: Nursing Home Infection Deaths May Be Underestimated by 50%
Second from left is New York State Attorney General Letitia James.
According to a report released by New York State Attorney General Letitia James’ office on the 28th, the number of nursing home deaths reported by the New York State Department of Health may be an underestimate of the actual number, by half according to the office’s investigation.
The state attorney general’s office has recently been studying the discrepancy between the number of deaths reported by the state Department of Health and the number of deaths reported by nursing homes, so it first investigated 62 of the state’s 600 nursing homes and found that the state Department of Health recorded only 1,229 deaths from the disease in those homes, but actually reported 1,914; the report said that if the same pattern exists statewide, then New York State nursing homes The report said that if the same pattern existed statewide, the number of underreported deaths in New York State nursing homes would likely be 56 percent.
The Cuomo administration explained that the state Department of Health excluded the number of people who were transferred from nursing homes to hospitals and eventually died there. As of Tuesday the 27th, the state Department of Health reported 8,711 nursing home deaths in the state; if the underreported number is made up, the figure could exceed 13,000.
The high number of deaths in nursing homes has been the focus of criticism of New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who has repeatedly excused himself as not being responsible for the results of his initial misguided policies.
Study: Variant virus spreads alarmingly by early April outbreak will be like a tsunami
The communist virus epidemic that lasted more than a year has further spread around the world after mutating. Data show that more than 100 million people have been infected and more than 2.14 million have died worldwide. Danish scientists have warned that the mutated virus is spreading at an alarming rate and that by early April the epidemic will be even bigger, sweeping in like a tsunami.
According to the Washington Post 22 reported, Danish scientists have said that the first discovered in the United Kingdom after the Chinese Communist virus (coronavirus) variant is spreading at an alarming rate, the existing methods to slow the spread of the epidemic, the virus has no effect.
The Danish National Serological Institute is a Danish government agency that tracks disease and advises on health policy. The institute’s director, Tyra Grove Krause, began sequencing every positive test for the CCP virus in mid-January to check for mutations.
Cases of the variant virus are reportedly increasing in Denmark at a rate of 70 percent per week, despite the country’s strict blockade measures. Danish authorities expect the variant virus to become the dominant strain of the virus in the country by mid-February.
By early April, daily cases of the virus could quadruple, Danish officials said. Charts from the Institute of Public Health predict a spike in cases in the most severe transmission scenario, even with strict enforcement of a lockdown.
“It’s kind of like a tsunami for a while, like you’re standing on a beach and all of a sudden you see all the water shrink back,” Krauss said. “Then the tsunami sweeps back in and is overwhelming.”
Wei Jingsheng: Whistleblowers Who Reported Support for Trump Beware
Wei Jingsheng, a well-known pro-democracy activist, recently wrote on Radio Free Asia that I have noticed something odd about a small group of people who are reminiscent of the whistle-blowing winds of the Cultural Revolution era. Some unidentified people took the occasion of Trump’s downfall and the Democratic Party’s rise to power to report pro-Trump pro-democracy activists to the U.S. government, and they lit up the Internet with their reports in extremely vicious terms.
Wei Jingsheng said that most of my friends in the pro-democracy movement I know, whether they support Trump or Biden, do not see each other as enemies, nor do they do such underhanded acts of falling into the well. What is the purpose of this small group of people who are full of hatred to sue fellow pro-democracy activists with different views to the FBI and the US Congress?
It is to provoke the pro-democracy activists with different views to continue their infighting, so as to divide the pro-democracy movement and help the Communist Party to reduce the pressure.
To say that their identity is unknown, we can recall. Some of these people never participated in Anti-Communist activities, and some publicly stated that they quit the pro-democracy movement. Although they did not participate in many pro-democracy activities either, they withdrew from the pro-democracy movement in a high-profile manner, with the same purpose as this one, to smear the pro-democracy movement and provoke infighting to play a role in helping the Communist Party. I won’t say what they are, but it is indeed very suspicious.
Chinese American scholar He Qinglian tweeted, “It’s just that Lao Wei may have missed Wan Yanhai’s tweet that he reported Falun Gong. What Lao Wei said is also true, the whistleblowers seem to be fewer old pro-democracy activists and June 4ers (maybe I didn’t read all of them), mostly people who came to the U.S. after this century for political patronage.”
Pants Theory Xu Siyuan, on the other hand, tweeted, “There are two levels of order in any state. One is the inner order deep in the soul and faith, also called the soul order; and the other is the outer order about politics and society. The inner order determines the outer order. If a man’s soul is out of order, he will collapse; if a nation is out of order, society will disintegrate.”
The Pentagon responds for the first time to repeated shows of force by the Chinese Communist Party to provoke Taiwan
Pictured is Pentagon spokesman John Kirby speaking to the media on Jan. 22.
Since Biden took office, the Chinese Communist Party has repeatedly provoked Taiwan, leading to increasing tensions in the Taiwan Strait. On Thursday (Jan. 28), the Biden administration’s Defense Department responded for the first time to the situation in the Taiwan Strait after the Chinese Communist Party again provoked Taiwan with its rhetoric.
On Thursday, the Pentagon reaffirmed longstanding U.S. support for Taiwan’s self-defense and said it had no reason to believe that tensions between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait would lead to any confrontation.
Pentagon spokesman John Kirby’s remarks Thursday were the first from the Biden administration’s Defense Department about tensions in the Taiwan Strait.
“Taiwan independence means war,” Wu Qian, a spokesman for the Chinese Defense Ministry and director of its information bureau, said at a regular press conference Thursday, and he defended the recent move by Chinese Communist Party warplanes to intrude more frequently into Taiwan’s southwest air defense identification zone (ADIZ).
When asked about the remarks, Kirby, speaking for the first time at a Pentagon news conference, reiterated that the United States would maintain its long-standing military support for Taiwan’s self-defense.
We have an obligation to assist Taiwan in self-defense, and I think you’ll see that practice continue,” he said. The U.S. military is ready in every way to fulfill our commitment to regional security.”
