U.S. father unhappy with continued school closures, angry at school board member video goes viral

The Chinese Communist virus (New Coronavirus) pandemic has closed many businesses and schools in the United States. One parent in Virginia broke his silence, not wanting to continue to endure the continued closure of school doors.

The father from Loudoun County, Virginia, went to the school and gave the school board members a shouting match. The video then went viral on social media.

“You should all be expelled.” In the video, the father is wearing a mask. “If your employers knew you were less effective than the DMV, you’d be replaced in a heartbeat,” he said during a public comment period at a recent school board meeting.

The video was posted Tuesday (Jan. 26) by Aliscia Andrews. The father is reportedly a Marine Corps veteran and a former Republican congressional candidate.

“As a parent, this pandemic presents incredible challenges.” Andrews wrote on social media, “This father has had enough, all of us have had enough. There are no real indicators for safe and open schools, and (the school board) continues to push forward down this path. Many Parents feel the same way he does.”

The video shows the father getting more and more agitated and angry as he speaks at the board meeting.

“I actually just finished a conference call because I have to also be here to yell at you guys. You are a bunch of cowards hiding behind our children as an excuse to keep the school closed.”

“You guys think you’re some kind of martyrs.” He continued, “The statistics don’t lie, the vast majority of the population is not threatened by the virus.”

Finally, the father couldn’t hold his temper and shouted, “Those garbage cleaners are risking their lives every day, and they [their jobs] are more dangerous than everyone else in this school system!”

A study released Tuesday showed there is little concern about the spread of COVID-19, a disease caused by the Chinese Communist virus, in the school gates. “There is little evidence that schools have contributed to increased community transmission,” health officials said in a journal article the same day.

He then issued an ultimatum to the board: “Do something! Or get the hell out of the pulpit. Because you know what? There are a lot of people like me, and a lot of other people, who would be happy to sit in your seats and figure it out. The standards are not high.”

The video drew numerous responses. Some sympathized with the father, while others criticized him for losing his temper.

“These people are desperate,” commented one user, “and I can’t blame him for being angry.”

According to this user, others made calm, reasoned statements at the school board meeting for the same reason. It’s just that “their video didn’t go viral because of it.”

Another user took exception to his approach, saying that “shouting and threats won’t solve the problem.” He also called on him to “get his act together.

Still others fully supported the frustrated father.

“He is 100 percent right.” Another wrote, “Politicians are too afraid to make decisions, they just copy what other counties are doing. There is no balance, they are letting the economy die. They are not personally involved in the game. Whether we lock in another year …… or 10 years, they do their job as usual.”

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) officials have repeatedly said it is safe to reopen schools. Former director Robert Redfield said last year that schools should not be closed at all.
