Top three global models for disease prevention raise alarm again, with confirmed local diagnoses in New Zealand, Vietnam and Taiwan

The Lowy Institute for International Policy, an Australian think tank, rated the global performance of Epidemic prevention, with New Zealand, Vietnam and Taiwan ranking among the top three countries in terms of effectiveness of epidemic prevention, but after Vietnam also announced a local confirmation today, the epidemic in these three countries has recently raised the alarm again.

The Lloyd’s Institute for International Policy in Australia released data on the performance of epidemic prevention in the world on Thursday. Based on the cumulative number of confirmed cases, the number of confirmed cases per million people, the number of confirmed deaths, the number of confirmed deaths per million people, the ratio of confirmed cases to the number of people tested, and the number of people tested per 1,000 people, the top three countries in terms of epidemic prevention performance were New Zealand, Vietnam, and Taiwan.

According to Reuters, the Ministry of health of Vietnam announced today that the first two confirmed cases of indigenous infection (novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19) have been reported in Vietnam in the past two months. The other confirmed case was a factory worker who had contact with the confirmed patient, who was detected with the British variant of the virus after arrival.

New Zealand also confirmed on the 25th the first confirmed local case of Wuhan pneumonia in two months, Health Minister Chris Hipkins said that a woman with mild symptoms after the end of the quarantine period was screened and diagnosed with the South African variant of the virus, presumably during the quarantine period in a vaccination hotel.

Taiwan is in the 12th outbreak of the Ministry of Health and Welfare Taoyuan Hospital cluster infection, so far a total of 15 cases confirmed, become the biggest crisis facing Taiwan’s epidemic prevention.
