The global outbreak of the Chinese Communist virus (New Coronavirus) has hit many industries, forcing many people to take unpaid leave or even lose their jobs. But a 20-year-old man in the UK has found a business opportunity during the city closure, selling much-needed small supplies and earning up to 12,000 pounds a day (about $16,500).

The comprehensive foreign media reports, from the United Kingdom Gulliver (Ben Gulliver) was originally a hair salon manager, due to the Epidemic closure of the city, a significant reduction in customers, he was also forced to take unpaid leave. He was not depressed because of the broken income, but thought it was the perfect Time to “develop a side business”.

So he browsed YouTube videos to find inspiration for his business, and finally decided to sell the most urgent needs of the people, during the closure of the city difficult to obtain goods, such as dental cleaning equipment, fitness equipment, DIY small items and coffee cups.

The reality soon confirmed his instincts and the products became a huge hit, with revenues reaching a peak of £12,000 in a single day. After successfully selling thousands of dental cleaning items, he transferred the entire business to an American investor, earning a six-figure sum for his first bucket of money.

Then, Gulliver saw the opportunity to quit his job at the hairdresser’s and devote himself to selling fitness equipment and some popular products on Amazon to the world, covering Asia, Africa and the United States. He even offered sales customer service jobs to friends.

In the best month of his business, Gulliver’s sales reached £200,000 and had also sold £100,000 of stock in ten days. The self-taught young entrepreneur achieved sales of £730,000 (about $1 million) in just ten months with just a laptop, a phone and the Internet.

However, Gulliver’s success is not a coincidence, in fact, he has been very business-minded since he was a child and wanted to be a boss since childhood. During his school years, he bought lollipops for 15 pence and sold them to his classmates for £1. At the age of 14, he could earn £1,000 a month by selling clothes.

He is also very keen to learn the way of business, he was 16 years old after graduating from junior high school went to Japan on a business trip to learn from the experience, “was very homesick, but that crazy experience let me learn a lot, the biggest gain is to build a network”.

Gulliver wants to help young people start their own businesses and offer them advice, believing that many people just lack a motivation to move forward, and that “you can start a business if you have a laptop, a phone and the Internet. Gulliver encourages people who want to start a business not to give up their passion, because “Life can change completely overnight. Anyone can do it if you set your mind to it.
