Poll: Trump once the party will take away 23% of voters, the Republican Party left 17% to become the old three

Former U.S. President Donald Trump is polarizing, and Republican politicians love and hate him. However, they fear they will have to be careful with Trump-related cases. According to the latest poll conducted by Just the News in cooperation with the Rasmussen Report, once Trump leaves the Republican Party and forms another “Patriotic Party”, he will have the support of 23% of voters, leaving the Republican Party with only 17% support, making it the third largest party.

Scott Rasmussen conducted a survey of 1,200 registered voters from the 21st to the 23rd of this month. Assuming Trump creates a new “Patriot Party,” voters’ party identification would be 46% for the Democratic Party, 23% for Trump, 17% for the Republican Party, and 14% for “other.

For voters who consider themselves “very conservative,” 55% would support Trump’s new party, while 24% would support the Republican Party. If Trump stays in the Republican Party, then this group of voters who support him and are very active will give him a strong influence that can easily threaten the Republican Party establishment.

The U.S. House of Representatives’ impeachment of Trump was sent to the Senate today. The Republicans and Democrats each have 50 seats in the Senate, and 2/3 of the Senators need to agree for the impeachment to stand. It is worth observing whether Republican senators will dare to run for the Democratic Party’s impeachment under such public pressure.
