Walkaway Event Founder Snitched on FBI Arrest Charges

U.S. media outlet Gateway Pundit reported on Jan. 25 that FBI agents arrested Brandon Straka, founder of the “Walkaway” campaign, the same day for his involvement in storming the Capitol on Jan. 6.

The “Walkaway” campaign, a social media campaign launched by Straka, a New York hair stylist, encouraged liberals to leave the Democratic Party ahead of the 2018 midterm elections.

Agents from the FBI’s Omaha Field Office took Straka into custody Monday after the FBI accused him of knowingly entering and remaining on the Capitol grounds without lawful authority, engaging in inappropriate conduct in restricted areas of the Capitol, disrupting congressional hearings and obstructing law enforcement during a disturbance.

Officials could not find any videos or posts of Straka at the Capitol on his Twitter page, court documents show. However, the FBI I received numerous tip-offs of Straka’s involvement in the Capitol protests, including multiple screenshots. A relative of his also tipped off the FBI.
