Guangzhou ban on the Lunar New Year fireworks, violators are fined up to 20,000 yuan

Guangzhou Ecological Environment Bureau recently introduced new rules, requiring the city’s 11 districts are not during the Lunar New Year, the fireworks and sales of fireworks, violators are fined up to 20,000 yuan (RMB, the same below, 23,900 Hong Kong dollars) to maintain the results of the past three years of air pollution control actions.

According to the new rules, those who violate the rules by units will be fined from 10,000 to 20,000 yuan (about 12,000 to 23,900 Hong Kong dollars) ranging, of which the person directly in charge shall be fined from 2,000 to 5,000 yuan (about 2,394 to 5,986 Hong Kong dollars) ranging, and those who violate the rules by individuals will be fined from 500 yuan (about 599 Hong Kong dollars) to 5,000 yuan ranging.
