China faces recurring outbreak, scenic spots closed

The Chinese government has announced the closure of scenic spots around the country, in addition to advocating spending New Year’s Eve in China.

The Central News Agency (CNA) reported that China on Monday reported 124 new confirmed cases of New Guinea, of which 117 were local cases, 67 in Jilin, and 67 in Heilongjiang, Hebei, Beijing and Shanghai.

According to Chinese media reports cited by the Central News Agency, the Shanghai City God Temple will be closed from Sunday and the resumption of opening Time will be announced. In addition, Songshan Shaolin Temple in Henan Province, Wudang Mountain Scenic Area in Hubei Province, ice and snow activities in Harbin, Wudang Mountain Scenic Area in Hubei Province, the World’s First Spring Scenic Area in Jinan, Imperial City Xiangfu Scenic Area in Shanxi Province, as well as the windy spots in various provinces to hold large-scale activities, have been cancelled and stopped opening to the public one after another.

The report said that the suspension of activities as well as the cancellation of the opening to the public is “a unified arrangement of the relevant departments at a higher level”.
