Who is to be scared to death! The Family of Rogelia Blanco, an 85-year-old woman from Spain, was informed that she had died of Newcastle pneumonia and was not allowed to attend the funeral due to Epidemic prevention reasons.
According to Reuters, it turns out that the San Rosendo Foundation, which operates the sanatorium, transferred the diagnosed patients in the hospital to other institutions for specialized treatment on December 29 last year, and Blanco was placed in the same ward with another patient.
On Jan. 13, when the foundation notified the family of Blanco’s death, it actually made a mistake about the patient’s identity.
Before Blanco’s transfer to the hospital, her husband and her lived in the same nursing Home, so when he saw his wife returned alive, he was dumbfounded, and later revealed that he had been crying for several days, not realizing that it was not his wife who had died.
The San Rosendo Foundation has notified the court to change Blanco’s death certificate, and stressed that the hospital had more than 100 patients transferred to the hospital for treatment, but only one person Blanco’s identity was wrong.
