Sen. Ted Cruz slammed “idiot” Seth Rogen: Your party shuts down business, suppresses faith, censors speech and shuts down those who disagree, according to Breitbart News.
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) went on the offensive against Hollywood star Seth Rogen on Sunday, as their Twitter feud escalated into a heated battle, according to reports.
In a particularly nasty diatribe, Seth Rogen called the Texas senator a “fascist piece of ***,” to which the congressman replied that those on the left have become true fascists because of their love of a Culture of sequestration, censorship and forced corporate closures.
“It’s your party’s belief in the power of government: shutting down your businesses, suppressing your beliefs & censoring your speech,” Cruz tweeted.” Anyone who disagrees, they try to shut down. Plus, a lot of people in Hollywood are conservative – & clamped down on by the fascist left.”
Sen. Cruz also noted that conservatives in Hollywood are unable to speak freely because the industry is overwhelmingly left-wing leaning.
On Sunday, Seth Rogen accused Senator Cruz of trying to “overthrow our government” by claiming, without evidence, that the senator inspired protesters to storm the Capitol.
Seth Rogen started the fight on Twitter last week when Senator Cruz criticized Joe Biden‘s decision to rejoin the Paris Climate Agreement, which the senator said would hurt American jobs. The Hollywood actor replied, “Fuck off, you fascist.”
Rogan also mocked Senator Cruz’s recent tweet about the disney movie “Fantasia,” which the politician said was the first movie he remembered seeing in theaters.” Everyone who made that movie is going to hate you,” Logan replied.
That sparked an exchange about Walt Disney, a Republican and Anti-Communist. Sen. Cruz also trolled Logan, saying he liked his movies. “I’m sure you’ll hate that I like them,” he wrote.
