On January 18, President Trump‘s 1776 Commission released a report stating that it has revisited the U.S. Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and is working to reunite Americans under the values and principles of the founding.
The report details serious challenges to America’s founding principles, including past arguments for slavery, progressivism, fascism, communism and totalitarian government, which all point to the idea that people should not have equal values and rights. The report warns of the danger that modern political movements, including abolition, women’s suffrage, anti-communism, the civil rights movement and the anti-abortion movement, are departing from the founding principles of the United States.
In his final year in office, President Trump established the 1776 Commission to “educate the next generation about the history and principles that led to the founding of the United States in 1776 and to work toward a more perfect union. On December 19 of last year, President Trump announced the selection of the 1776 Commission, which will focus on promoting patriotic Education and educating schoolchildren about the history and principles of the United States.
The report singled out historian Howard Zinn and the 1619 Project because “they prevented students from seeing the humanity, kindness and benevolence of American historical figures. Instead, they indoctrinate young readers that American history begins with the arrival of the first African slaves in the North American colonies in 1619 and promote the racism that ‘discrimination can only be eliminated through more discrimination. This distorted version of American history requires us to talk only about America’s sins and deny America’s greatness.”
“The 1619 Project promotes a variant of this idea, which most historians oppose as a distortion of American history. In light of the decision by some states to include the program in school curricula, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-UT) described the 1619 Project as “a racially divisive, revisionist historical narrative that denies the noble principles of freedom and equality on which our nation was founded.
The report calls for a “national renewal” education that teaches future American citizens the basic principles and character to view history with reverence and love in a clear, healthy manner. The report also warns that America’s universities are doing the opposite, that they have become “hotbeds of anti-Americanism, defamation of America and shielding of truthful information” and that their intent is to “manipulate ideas, not educate them.
On January 8, Secretary of State Michael Pompeo spoke to former administration officials. He said, “The Trump Administration is working every day to make America and the world safer and more prosperous,” and “I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished, and we will be well remembered by future generations when these accomplishments are written in history.
In addition to promoting freedom of faith and resisting the Chinese Communist Party, “defending traditional values and the founding principles” is a major achievement of President Trump.

In January 2018, the Chinese Communist Party deleted the lesson of “Cultural Revolution” from the textbook of the second grade of Chinese History, in an attempt to distort history and cover up the truth in order to deceive the next generation and make people forget this period of history. In the old version, the seventh lesson of the second unit was “The Decade of the Cultural Revolution”, but this lesson is no longer in the new version.
In order to maintain the dictatorial regime, the Chinese Communist Party instilled the slogan “love the Party and love the country” into the people; the Chinese Communist Party has even moved on and deliberately sang “love the Party is love the country”, “love the country is love the Party”, “the death of the Party is the death of the country”, and “the death of the Party is the death of the country”. The Chinese Communist Party has deliberately chanted such fallacies as “love for the Party is love for the country”, “love for the country is love for the Party”, “the death of the Party is the death of the country”, “the ugliness of the Party is the ugliness of the country, and the ugliness of the Party cannot be publicized”, and deceitfully claimed that “without the Communist Party, there would be a new China. In fact, the CCP’s absurd logic has taken the whole country hostage, deliberately confusing the concepts and boundaries between the Party and the state, and trying to bind 1.4 billion people with this red ideology.
Last September, an official Chinese Communist textbook distorted the content of the Bible, twisting the story of Jesus forgiving the adulterous woman into Jesus stoning the woman to death. The textbook maliciously scandalizes the Bible and seriously desecrates the image of Jesus. This scandalous reversal of right and wrong has sparked public outrage on the Internet, condemning this move by the Chinese Communist Party as an act of Satan and the devil.
The United States is recognized as the most powerful nation in the world, sustaining global peace and stability. It is clear that traditional values and belief in God, and resistance to socialism and communism are the main reasons for President Trump’s popularity among Americans. The polls have revealed the direction of public opinion: defending traditional values and adhering to the concept of faith in God is what the United States needed at its founding and what it still needs today.
