Congresswoman makes good on promise: Impeach Biden!

U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) speaks to Congress on Jan. 7.

On January 21, Georgia’s newly elected Republican U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tweeted a video saying she had made good on her promise and had just submitted impeachment papers to Congress against new President Joe Biden.

On Jan. 20, Trump (Trump) officially stepped down as president and Biden took the White House. But the process of impeaching Trump in Congress continues. Some Republicans say it is unconstitutional to impeach a president who has already left office.

On Jan. 13, the House of Representatives voted to pass a second proposal to impeach Trump. Hours later, Rep. Greene said she plans to submit articles of impeachment against Biden on Jan. 21.

In an interview with Newsmax TV that evening, Greene announced her plan, saying the move was designed to show Americans that there are Republicans in Congress who are willing to stand up and fight for them, and that “I’m proud to be the voice of Republican voters who are being ignored.”

Green said the Biden Family was so corrupt that when he became vice president, he used a $1 billion loan guarantee as blackmail to force Ukrainian authorities to fire top prosecutor Viktor Shokin, who was investigating corruption at Ukrainian energy company Burisma, in a suspected attempt to exonerate his son, Huter Biden.

Green also shared a clip of Biden at the Time and wrote that, in Biden’s own words, Americans would not tolerate this.
