The 46th President of the United States, Joe Biden, was sworn in on Jan. 20. After he enters the Oval Office of the White House, he will sign more than a dozen executive orders, including those on the COVID pandemic, immigration and student debt, including the 100-day muzzle order.
Biden’s executive orders include numerous initiatives to overturn President Trump‘s implementation, including a Muslim travel ban and the construction of a wall along the U.S.-Mexico border.
Senior members of Biden’s policy team said at a news conference Tuesday night that Biden signed the executive orders immediately after the opening of the inauguration.
A list of Biden’s first executive orders obtained by the media includes the “100-day mask challenge,” which would require masks to be worn in all federal buildings, on all federal lands and by federal employees and contractors, as well as at a social distance.
Biden may also reverse Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the World health Organization (WHO).

Jeff Zients, head of the Biden Administration‘s COVID response, said the COVID-19 pandemic is clearly a national emergency.
“We will mobilize a whole-of-government response, working with state and local and mutual officials.” He added, “In order to distribute the vaccine as quickly and equitably as possible, we need everyone to come together to be prepared, and we will have everyone working together.”
Brian Deese, who leads the National Economic Council in the Biden administration, outlined several orders aimed at easing the financial burden on families paying rent and those paying off student loans.
Deese said Biden will call on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Departments of Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Housing and Urban Development to consider immediate extensions of evictions and foreclosures.
Biden will also ask the Department of Education to extend the moratorium on interest and principal payments on direct federal loans until at least Sept. 30. “These emergency measures are important,” Dees said.
On climate change, Biden will order the U.S. to return to the Paris climate agreement on his first day. Biden will also direct all federal agencies to consider revising vehicle fuel emissions standards, according to incoming climate adviser Gina McCarthy.
He will ask the Interior Department to review the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, Bears Ears National Monument ), and the boundaries and conditions of Northeast Canyons and Seamounts Marine National Monument. The order would also temporarily ban all oil and gas leasing activities in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
Fox News reports that the Biden administration will also halt construction of the Keystone XL pipeline on its first day in office.
Susan Rice, who heads the Biden-led Domestic Policy Council, will lead the administration’s efforts to promote racial equality and work to advance other underserved communities, such as LGBTQ people and people with disabilities.
Biden also plans to reverse the Trump Administration‘s executive order excluding non-citizens from the census and apportionment of congressional representatives.
He will sign another order to consolidate the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and call on Congress to enact legislation that would provide permanent status and citizenship for people who came to the United States as minors and have lived, worked and contributed in the country.
