Love and Peace U.S. First Lady Melania’s Farewell Speech

As she is leaving the White House, U.S. First Lady Melania delivered a farewell address Monday (Jan. 18), thanking the American people for their kindness and courage and expressing hope that America will rise above division and choose love and peace.

U.S. First Lady Melania: “It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as First Lady of the United States. I am inspired by the wonderful Americans across the country whose kindness, courage, goodness and grace are what lift our communities.”

About to leave the White House with President Trump (Trump), Melania recalled in her farewell address, as she did, how much she cherishes and misses Americans from all walks of life.

U.S. First Lady Melania: “When I see the faces of brave young soldiers, the proud look in their eyes tells me how much they love serving this country.”

From soldiers, law enforcement officers, and health care workers on the front lines of epidemic preparedness, to brave mothers and strong children, Melania said she has treasured all Americans in her heart.

Over the past four years, Melania has also launched the Be Best campaign to focus on and address the health of America’s next generation, online safety and opioid abuse.

U.S. First Lady Melania: “In just a few short years, I’ve raised awareness about keeping children safe online, made incredible progress in stopping the drug epidemic and its impact on newborns and families, and given a voice to the most vulnerable children in the adoption system.”

At a critical time when the radical left is severely tearing apart American society, Melania made a point of emphasizing in her speech that “violence is never the answer, and it will never be justified.”

First Lady Melania: “In every situation, I want every American to be an ambassador of “doing our best,” to focus on what unites us, to look beyond what divides us, to always choose love over hate, peace over violence, and others before ourselves. “

U.S. First Lady Melania: “All the people of this country, you will always be in my heart, thank you, may God bless you, and may God bless the United States of America.”
