Zimbabwe’s defense minister blames Chinese Communist Party for outbreak

Zimbabwe’s Defense Minister Oppah Muchinguri recently accused China (the Chinese Communist Party) of a botched “experiment” that led to an epidemic that ravaged the world.

The Chinese Communist Party’s cover-up of the epidemic has led to a global outbreak. Although the Chinese Communist Party has repeatedly shrugged off the blame, it has not helped to change its perception in the international community, and even leaders of countries on the side of the Communist Party’s allies have made rare accusations of poisoning.

Zimbabwean Defense Minister Oppah Muchinguri recently blamed China’s (CCP) botched “experiments” for the coronavirus (Neocoronavirus) that has ravaged the world, according to the Voice of America.

Muchinguri made the statement in an interview with an online media outlet last Friday (Jan. 15), where she is also the head of the Zimbabwean Cabinet’s New Coronavirus Pneumonia Task Force. The interview attracted widespread attention on social media.

In the interview, Mukhingiuri said the epidemic is now devastating the southern African country. She also broke down in tears over the death of another minister from New Coronavirus pneumonia.

The new coronavirus is now said to have infected nearly 27,000 Zimbabweans, resulting in 683 deaths.

She said Zimbabwe does not currently have a vaccine, adding that she would not be vaccinated against it in other countries. She wondered why Zimbabwe could not develop its own vaccine and hoped that a Chinese one might work.

In the interview, Muhsinghuli tearfully blamed China (CCP) as the culprit for the new coronavirus. She alleged that it was China (CCP) that botched the experiments that led to the spread of the virus. And questioned, “We call them (China) friends and look where they have taken us.”

However, given Zimbabwe’s close ties with the Chinese Communist Party. The government of Zimbabwean President Emmerson Mnangagwa has distanced itself from Mukhingiuri’s defense minister since that interview.

Zimbabwean Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesman Constance Chemwayi said Mukhingiuri’s sentiments did not reflect the Zimbabwean government’s position.

Analysts say the move is an attempt to avoid possible negative diplomatic fallout with the Chinese Communist Party. Chinese Communist Party leader Xi Jinping, who visited the country in 2015, has called Zimbabwe an “all-weather friend.

Communist Party minister to Zimbabwe Zhao Baogang said Sunday (Jan. 17) that it was a “sensitive issue” and that he would only comment on Defense Minister Muhinkuri’s allegations in the coming week after communicating with Beijing.
