On the morning of January 18, Professor Tou Jiguang of the College of Arts of Sichuan Normal University fell from the 10th floor of the Tianjiaping building of the university and passed away after an invalid resuscitation. Before his death, he was subjected to violent demolition and had reported in name to Bo Fayou, the mayor and deputy secretary of Chenghua District, Chengdu.
On the afternoon of the 18th, the interface news reporter contacted Professor Tou Jiguang’s wife Li, who is in the funeral home, confirmed the news that Professor Tou Jiguang had died. Li said her husband jumped to his death at 8:14 a.m. from the 10th floor of Tianjiaping Building of Sichuan Normal University. The body is now stored in Chengdu East Suburban Funeral Hall.
According to the official website of Sichuan Normal University, Tou Jiguang (pseudonym Ma Zhiyuan) was born in 1971, a doctor of literature, a postdoctoral fellow in journalism and communication, a postdoctoral fellow in law, a professor in the College of Literature of Sichuan Normal University, and a first-level candidate in the 251 Key Talent Project of Sichuan Normal University (the only candidate in the journalism and communication discipline), mainly engaged in communication theory, literature, art and media research.
In September 2005, Jiguang joined the Postdoctoral Station of Journalism and Communication at Fudan University to engage in scientific research, and after leaving the station in June 2007, he again joined the Postdoctoral Station of Law at Southwest University of Political Science and Law to engage in scientific research, and left the station in June 2010. he passed the national judicial examination in September 2009.
According to public reports, on October 24, 2020, Tuo Jiguang had reported in real name that Bo Fayou, the mayor of Chenghua District and deputy secretary of the district party committee of Chengdu, had abused his power and violently demolished citizens’ legal properties.
