U.S. Focuses on Wuhan Institute of Virus Research to Pave the Way for Future Operations

The issue of the source of the deadly Chinese Communist virus has become a hot topic again in recent days as the number of people infected with and dying from the virus around the world has increased dramatically. As Beijing authorities finally agreed to allow a group of experts from the WHO to enter Wuhan, China, to verify the source of the virus, the U.S. Department of State released a fact-checking report on January 15 local time on the actions of the Wuhan Institute of Virology, focusing on the institute and presenting its findings based on evidence The report highlights the importance of transparency by the Chinese Communist authorities, which means that “only by being transparent can we understand what caused the pandemic and how to prevent the next one.

The report begins by establishing that the virus came from China and that the Chinese Communist Party lied to the world about the virus and the outbreak. Its evidence is that several researchers within the Wuhan Institute of Virus Research became ill in the fall of 2019, and that these researchers had symptoms consistent with COVID-19 and common seasonal diseases. This occurred before the first confirmed cases of the CCP virus.

And mainland Chinese media first reported suspected infections of unexplained pneumonia among healthcare workers at two hospitals in Wuhan on December 25, 2019. the news first became known to the public on the evening of December 30, when Li Wenliang, an ophthalmologist at Wuhan Central Hospital, issued a warning in his WeChat group to alert his friends, and the news quickly went viral. However, Chinese authorities repeatedly denied it, and deemed Li and the eight other doctors who posted the news as “rumor-mongers” and admonished them by police.

On January 20, 2020, Beijing officially admitted that the virus had spread from person to person, and on January 23, Wuhan was closed to the public, but some five million people had already left the city in January, and thousands went abroad. Wuhan is the very place where the CCP virus originated to spread around the world.

Why did the CCP conceal the illness of the Wuhan virus researchers? Was their illness caused by a leak in the laboratory? Or were they unintentionally infected? This gives the U.S. reason to question the credibility of Shi Zhengli, a senior researcher at the Institute, who has publicly declared “zero” SARS-CoV-2 or SARS-related virus infections among the Institute’s staff and students. In other words, since the U.S. government does not trust Shi Zhengli, who has endorsed the Chinese Communist Party, it naturally does not trust the Chinese Communist Party behind her either.

Although the U.S. did not determine whether the virus researchers were infected during the experiment, the report clearly mentions that “accidental infections in the laboratory have led to several previous outbreaks in China and elsewhere, including the 2004 SARS outbreak in Beijing, in which nine people were infected and one person died. In other words, the U.S. has a strong preference for a laboratory origin for the CCP virus based on past facts.

Second, the report again provides supporting evidence that the CCP virus came from its laboratory by analyzing research from the Wuhan Institute of Virus Research. The report states that since at least 2016, Wuhan Institute of Virus researchers conducted experiments involving RaTG13 and showed no signs of stopping before the COVID-19 outbreak; RaTG13 was the bat coronavirus identified by the Institute in January 2020 as the closest to SARS-CoV-2 (96.2% similar).

After the SARS outbreak in 2003, the Institute became the focus of international coronavirus research and has been studying animals including mice, bats, and pangolins since then. As such, the Institute has a public record of conducting “gene function acquisition” studies to engineer chimeric viruses. This certainly implies that the Institute has the ability to make viruses.

Third, the report states that the Wuhan Virus Institute is engaged in clandestine military activities. The report states that despite Beijing’s clear obligations under the BWC, Beijing has neither documented nor clearly demonstrated its intention to eliminate such weapons. Moreover, the United States has confirmed that the institute has cooperated with the CCP military on publications and secret research projects, including animal testing in laboratories, which are also supported by U.S. donors. This is supposed to imply that Beijing has violated the BWC.

For such a deeply secretive Wuhan Institute of Virus Research, the report argues that specific investigations and verifications are needed in three additional areas.

One, interviews and investigations of Wuhan Virus Institute researchers, including those who became ill in the fall of 2019, including complete certification of their previously unreported illnesses.

ii. the WHO investigators need to investigate the records of the Wuhan Institute of Virus work on bats and other coronaviruses, “as part of a comprehensive inquiry, they must have a full understanding of why the virus institute changed, and subsequently removed, online records related to RaTG13 and other viruses.”

Third, free access to the virus laboratory, “Any credible investigation into the origin of COVID-19 would require complete and transparent access to the Wuhan virus laboratory, including its facilities, samples, personnel and (relevant) records.”

Predictably, the WHO investigators in Wuhan today will not be able to verify on the basis of these three aspects in any case, because the Chinese Communist authorities will never allow them to talk freely with the researchers of the institute and will never allow them to have complete and transparent access to the Wuhan virus laboratory and to various relevant records. Therefore, it is not surprising that the WHO investigation team returned from Wuhan without success, and even continued to endorse the CCP.

The report concludes that “today’s revelation only lifts the veil on the Chinese origin of COVID-19” and that “the United States will continue to do all it can to support a credible and thorough investigation, including by continuing to demand transparency from the Chinese Communist authorities,” presumably suggesting that the United States will reveal more important information in the future and will thoroughly investigate the truth about the virus.

The U.S.’s comprehensive investigation into the truth of the virus is supposed to set the stage for future accountability actions. Because once the culprit is found and convicted, only then can punishment be imposed on him. And once the CCP’s crimes of covering up the epidemic and spreading the virus are confirmed, the CCP will face the monstrous anger and comprehensive siege from the US and the world.
