People in protective clothing prepare to disinfect a high-risk area in Shijiazhuang, Jan. 15, 2021.

The epidemic continues to spread in China, with the outbreak in Hebei province already out of control. 15 officials announced the trajectory of 83 confirmed cases in action, spreading across several schools.

According to the announcement of the Chinese health and Welfare Commission, from 0:00 to 24:00 on January 15, 31 Chinese provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 130 new confirmed cases, 90 in Hebei and 23 in Heilongjiang. There were 79 new cases of asymptomatic infection, 30 in Heilongjiang, 13 in Jilin and 12 in Hebei.

In Shijiazhuang, 83 new local cases were confirmed in a single day, and many students, parents and school staff were sickened in many schools, including elementary school, middle schools, universities and art schools.

As the Chinese Communist Party has a habit of covering up epidemics, the data given has been questioned by outsiders. Now the official self-revelation that there are 83 confirmed cases in Hebei spread across many schools indicates that the situation is quite serious.

Due to the outbreak, the province of Hebei entered a state of war on the 5th. 8 onwards, Shijiazhuang, Xingtai, Dingzhou and many other cities, on the basis of the closure of the city, and the provisions of the bus, subway, cab all stop, all the people home isolation for 7 days.

The Hebei Provincial Health Commission announced on the 10th that Shijiazhuang, the city with the most serious epidemic in China, had been upgraded to a medium-risk area, and on the 11th, the Hebei authorities announced that nine new medium-risk areas had been added.

In the afternoon of the same day, Hebei authorities announced that 21 new cases of infection were reported in Shijiazhuang during the half-day period from 0 to 12 pm, including 16 confirmed cases and 5 so-called “asymptomatic infected” cases.

According to insiders in Shijiazhuang’s epidemic prevention and control department, the official figures were grossly underestimated.

Ms. Wang, who works in Shijiazhuang’s epidemic prevention and control department, told Radio Free Asia that the number of new cases in Shijiazhuang is actually more than 100 per day, but the official figures are only in the tens.

Nangong in Xingtai, Hebei province, also has an emergency over 5,000-bed local reception site for cases of the CCP virus, also known as the Square Cabin Hospital, due to the severity of the epidemic.

Mi Feng, spokesman for the Communist Party’s National Health Commission, said at a press conference on the 13th that China’s epidemic this year has a long duration, extensive coverage, rapid spread, the age of patients, the proportion of rural areas and other characteristics, some places have more community transmission, multi-generational transmission, the situation is complex and serious.
