Gallup Poll: Popularity of President Trump’s Approval Rating Far Outpaces Congress and the Media

U.S. media “National Pulse” reported on Jan. 14 that Donald Trump is still more popular than the U.S. establishment, despite an all-out attack on President Trump.

Gallup polls show that the U.S. Congress had a pitiful 15 percent approval rating last December, and a whopping 82 percent of Americans told Gallup they disapproved of the job Congress was doing. The last time the U.S. Congress was popular with the public was after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, when there was a patriotic fervor in all of the U.S. establishment.

The U.S. mainstream media fared even worse in the Gallup poll, with only 9 percent of Americans saying they “trust” the mainstream media “a lot” and another 31 percent saying they trust it only “somewhat. As many as 60 percent of Americans polled said they “don’t trust” or “don’t trust” the mainstream media at all.

President Trump’s approval rating remained at 43 percent last November and 39 percent last December, despite two Democratic impeachments, the Russia fallout, the epidemic, and media and Democratic attacks on his Communist policies.

Just three weeks ago, Gallup said, President Trump earned the accolade of “the most respected man in America.
