As Presidential Inauguration Day approaches on Jan. 20, Washington, D.C., is on the verge of a major threat! U.S. media reported that the National Guard in Washington will increase to 20,000, far more than the previous inauguration; the National Mall may be closed on that day, allowing only journalists and police to enter.
What goes around comes around! Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich writes that false speech censorship by high-tech giants is the biggest fraud in our society today, but conservative social media platforms will rise up to defeat left-wing speech censorship.

Washington may close the National Mall on Jan. 20 to allow only journalists and police to enter
The National Mall in Washington, D.C., will be closed on Jan. 20, presidential inauguration day, allowing only media and security personnel to enter, the Washington Post said Thursday (Jan. 14), citing two people familiar with the matter who asked not to be named.
This is the latest in a series of security measures, the newspaper said. But the National Mall has been the traditional place to watch the inauguration for the past dozens of presidential inauguration days, with many people gathering there.
“That means no one can get on the National Mall.” “If you’re going to watch, you’re not going to be able to see anything, you might only be able to see the top of the Capitol,” one official said.
However, a National Park Service spokesman said the same day that no “final decision” had been made on closing the National Mall.
A video posted by a CBS investigative reporter shows barbed wire being added to the fence near the Capitol.
Many netizens left sarcastic comments: “big prison” “dominion + armed enthronement” “how to look like the usurpation of the throne ceremony!” “This formation, I thought it was Maduro was elected president.”
There are also netizens who said, “Is this to defend the constitution, or to defend the dictator?” “Who is this to protect, or who is this to arrest. Such a big move.” “The people have elected a president who is afraid of the people?” “It is they who are afraid and know that it was obtained by fraud.”
WaPo: Washington National Guardsmen to increase to 20,000 far beyond previous inaugurations
In response to the Jan. 20 inauguration of the U.S. president, Washington, D.C., is increasing its manpower, with reports that as many as 20,000 National Guardsmen from across the country will support the inauguration.
In a statement, the D.C. National Guard said that starting next Tuesday (19) at 6 p.m., members of the National Guard will be armed and committed to maintaining security at the Capitol.

Typically, between 8,000 and 10,000 National Guardsmen will be sent across the country to support the presidential inauguration in the nation’s capital.
As of Wednesday, 6,600 National Guardsmen from six states and Washington, D.C., were already on patrol in D.C., including 800 deployed behind the Capitol’s 7-foot-high non-retractable fence. An estimated 10,000 troops are expected to be in place by Saturday.
Following last week’s storming of the Capitol, McCarthy announced that up to 15,000 National Guardsmen would be deployed and would remain in the capital for 30 days to ensure a peaceful transition of power.
Another video posted by Fox News reporter Jennifer Griffin shows thousands of U.S. National Guard soldiers armed with M4 rifles, arriving on Capitol Hill Thursday.
Recent photos of the interior of the Capitol showing National Guard members huddled around the Capitol statue or lying side by side on the marble floor sleeping have sparked controversy, but a National Guard spokesman told the Washington Examiner they were taking a break to get some shut-eye.
Gingrich: Tech Giants’ False Censorship Is the Biggest Fraud
Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich (R-Ga.) said in an article in The Washington Times on Wednesday (Jan. 13) that false speech censorship by tech giants is the biggest fraud in today’s society. He argued that the tech giants’ suppression of conservative free speech has only fueled the rise of alternative conservative social media platforms, but not the “memory gap” into which 74 million Americans have fallen.
Pictured is former U.S. House Speaker Gingrich.
In the article, Gingrich said that when Google, Amazon and Apple joined and shut down the conservative social media platform Parler, their actions reached a tipping point, proving that the oligarchy may be seeking to control the public discourse of all Americans, Voice of Hope Radio reported.
Facebook CEO Zuckerberg and Twitter CEO Dorsey (who received no votes), have claimed the power to ban President Trump (who received more than 74 million votes) from speaking out.
As President Truman warned, “Once the government pursues the principle of eliminating the voice of the opposition, it has only one way to go, and that is to become more and more repressive, and eventually it becomes a source of terror for all citizens and leads to a nation where everyone lives in fear.”
The terrifying concept of managing memory and opinion with technology is expressed in the most human way in George Orwell’s novel “1984”. This novel is about how Western democracy engulfs itself and its citizens in a totalitarian nightmare. The “culture of abolition” and social media erasure campaigns are very much like Orwell’s description of the “memory gap,” where things that the powers that be no longer consider valid are destroyed so that people can no longer use them.
On Jan. 3, 217 House Democrats voted to adopt new House Rules that remove a dozen “inappropriate” gender-specific words such as mother, father, son and daughter. This is another example of the Orwellian model, which once again trains us to consider only “appropriate” ideas and to use “appropriate” language. President Truman’s fears are beginning to come true.
Gingrich: Resistance is gaining strength and will defeat the left’s censorship of speech
Fortunately, the resistance is gaining strength and will defeat the left’s control over words, speech and discourse, says former U.S. House Speaker Gingrich’s article.
For starters, Internet giants are at risk of being prosecuted as indirect agents of government power.
Some argue that the protections of Section 230 make them indirect agents of the government. The federal Supreme Court has consistently ruled that private companies are bound by the U.S. Constitution as agents of the government.
Blocking free speech violates the guarantee of liberty afforded to people by the First Amendment to the Constitution. Vivek Ramaswamy and Jed Rubenfeld have prepared the legal groundwork and historical precedent for a petition to limit the constitutional power of the Internet giant.
Second, the nature of Section 230 may be profoundly altered.
When it was passed in 1996, it made sense to keep Internet companies safe from lawsuits because it was designed to allow companies that were small and vulnerable at the time to grow. When you’re dealing with giant global institutions with enormous power and wealth, those guarantees no longer make sense.
In addition, they now have the ability to vet content, something they didn’t have at the beginning. Section 230 could be amended to make it a general platform with no power to monitor or prevent participants from posting ideas; or it could be made subject to the same legal liability as newspapers and magazines, against which lawsuits could be filed.
Third, and my favorite method, conservatives should create their own alternative communication platform so that everyone who disagrees with the left can communicate.
Right now, the left is attempting to rig the game, stifle dissent, and dictate what we can think, say, and believe. Competition will destroy this machine of left-wing groupthink more quickly, decisively and safely than any such time- and energy-consuming effort to regulate or normalize the large Internet giants.
Alternative social media platforms would be a potential market of more than 40 million Americans. Competition is the best way to defeat monopoly and repression. We will not be thrown into the “memory gap” by a few rich liberals.
U.S. Defense Department Adds 9 Chinese Companies to Blacklist: Commercial Aircraft and Xiaomi on the List
The U.S. Department of Defense added nine more Chinese companies to its list of Chinese companies owned or controlled by the Communist Party’s military on Jan. 14, including cell phone maker Xiaomi Group. U.S. investors will not be allowed to invest in these companies in the future.
In addition to Xiaomi, the list includes SMIC, Basket Technology, Beijing Zhongguancun Development and Investment Center, Guangdong Gao Yun Semiconductor Technology, Da Xinhua Airlines, CML, China Aviation Group and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China. With the addition of nine Chinese companies today, the list expands to 44.
Through a press release, the Department of Defense stated that it strongly opposes China’s civil-military integration development strategy, which ensures that the PLA has access to advanced technology and expertise to support the PLA’s modernization goals through Chinese companies, universities and research programs that appear to be civilian entities.
The U.S. Department of Defense said this action is based on a list of enterprises owned or controlled by the PLA under Section 1237 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1999. The U.S. Department of Defense first compiled the list in June 2020, and Chinese companies such as Hikvision, China Telecom, China Mobile and SMIC were included earlier.
According to U.S. President Donald Trump’s revised executive order on Jan. 13, U.S. investors must completely sell their securities in this list of companies by Nov. 11 of this year.
