A confirmed case of the Chinese Communist Party virus was found in Shaanxi on January 14 as the epidemic began to spread widely in China, and the news grabbed the No. 1 spot on Weibo’s hot search list. Officials rushed to maintain stability by blocking messages, angering Chinese netizens who took to their own personal Weibo feeds to troll.

The outbreak in China is spreading out of control to many provinces and cities, and on January 14, officials announced 144 new confirmed cases. Among them were 90 cases in Hebei, 43 cases in Heilongjiang, 1 case in Guangxi, 1 case in Shaanxi and 9 cases imported from abroad.

There were 66 new cases of asymptomatic infection, including 31 cases in Heilongjiang, 14 cases in Jilin, 9 cases in Hebei, 1 case in Guangdong, and 11 cases imported from abroad; there was one new suspected case in Shanghai.

However, the official epidemic data released by the Chinese Communist Party has been questioned by outsiders as a serious reduction of the epidemic, which is already quite serious in view of the large-scale epidemic prevention measures taken by the authorities. Chinese officials have also admitted that “the epidemic is complicated and serious” and that local governments are asking people not to travel during the New Year and to “spend the New Year in place”.

It is worth mentioning that the news of the epidemic in Shaanxi province instantly reached the top of Weibo’s hot search, but the local government in Shaanxi delayed to announce the epidemic information. Instead, officials urgently closed the Weibo hot search message section to cover up the epidemic and anger Chinese netizens.

Many netizens have been tweeting on their own microblogs, “I could still see the comments in the morning, with the trolling at the bottom, but now they are directly hiding the comments.”

“Can’t you just make it public, where it is, the exact details, guessing around like this.”

“Watching people come in with a dumbfounded face and leave with a dumbfounded face, this is the worst hot search I’ve seen since the epidemic accounted for.”

“Shaanxi provincial government can move faster not? Hurry up and inform!”

It was not until January 15 that the Shaanxi Provincial health Commission notified the addition of one confirmed case. The patient is a 49-year-old woman from Baishui County, Guo Moumou, who works in Jinzhong, Shanxi, and is a close contact of an asymptomatic infected person in Shanxi.

On January 9, Guo returned home to Baishui from Shanxi. 11 negative nucleic acid test, 13 received a letter of concordance from Shanxi after being isolated, symptoms were sent to the hospital, and the diagnosis was confirmed on the 14th.

In addition, on the 14th, a man from Shaanxi, Chen Moumou, was also diagnosed. The official claim is that he is an imported case from abroad and has been isolated for treatment.

The emergence of outbreaks across China has worried many netizens, with some leaving messages saying, “Watching the news recently added everywhere, it’s a panic to watch.”

There are also netizens said, “home to pass through Shaanxi I shivered, Henan must hold on to the epidemic every day concern countless times.”
