Heilongjiang to Beijing train now 5 infected people through 6 provinces and 20 stations

On New Year’s Eve 2019, the train station in Harbin, Heilongjiang Province, was crowded.

Jilin Province has notified five cases of asymptomatic infection with the CCP virus (Wuhan virus and New Coronavirus), all of whom traveled on the same day on the K350 train from Heilongjiang Province to Beijing , which passes through six provinces and cities and 20 stations. Currently, Heilongjiang Province has declared a state of emergency for the entire province, and the region has emerged as the second high-risk area for the outbreak nationwide.

Officials informed that the K350 train passed through 20 stations in Jiamusi, Suihua, Harbin West, Changchun, Shenyang North, Jinzhou, Shanhaiguan, Tangshan, Tianjin, Langfang North and Beijing, spanning six provinces and cities in Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Tianjin, Hebei and Beijing.

The K350 train takes 17 units, including 7 hard-sleeper cars, 7 hard-seat cars, 1 dining car, 1 soft-sleeper car and 1 baggage car each.

According to Caixin.com, the train beginning with K is a “fast passenger train”, and the number of hard-seat cars in such trains is 112, 116 and 118, with closed windows and air-conditioned ventilation. In addition to sitting tickets, these trains also sell a certain amount of unreserved tickets.

This means that the density of people when the carriage is full is higher than that of the G high-speed train carriages.

After the discovery of the outbreak, officials are looking for people who took the K350 train on Jan. 5.

The outbreak is currently climbing sharply in Heilongjiang province. The province declared a state of war in Suifenhe and Dongning last month, and on Jan. 12, declared a state of emergency for the entire province. on Jan. 13, authorities again reported a large number of new cases.

The city of Suihua in Heilongjiang province has been “closed” and the town of Huizi in Wangkui county has been upgraded to a high-risk area, the second high-risk area in the country after Shijiazhuang Gaocheng. The local epidemic has spread across provinces to Shandong, Guangxi, Sichuan and 12 other provinces (cities and autonomous regions).

As we enter the New Year in 2021, the outbreak is on the rise across China, with Hebei province, which is adjacent to Beijing, being the most serious. Authorities in Hebei closed the cities of Shijiazhuang, Xingtai and Langfang on Jan. 12.

The situation is also critical in Beijing, which declared a state of war in the Shunyi district last month. The city has now entered a “quasi-war-time state” and access to Beijing has been controlled.
