As the Chinese Communist virus continues to spread in 2021, the procedures and steps to return to China overseas may become troublesome again…
The previous double-negative certificate no longer guarantees the return of Chinese to their home countries, and now, the latest “four-negative certificate” has been proposed in China.
What is the “four negative proof”?
Previously, returnees needed to do nucleic acid testing and antibody testing at an institution approved by the Chinese Embassy.
This is called “double negative certificate”.
But now, since the world epidemic is still spreading and the local epidemic is on the rise in China, the double negative certificate is no longer enough to help you return to China.
Four-negative certificate, that is, “cross double test” certificate, you must find two testing institutions certified by the embassy to do the test at the same time, and get two nucleic acid certificates and two antibody certificates, 2 + 2 = 4, that is, “four-negative certificate”.
Now, if you get the above four certificates at the same time and upload them to the embassy, you can get the “green code” for entering China.
In addition to doing the above four tests, returnees also need to hold a passport photo proof when testing sampling.
It is reported that South Africa, Egypt, Portugal, Nepal and other countries have begun to implement this new rule.
On January 8, the Chinese Embassy in South Africa issued a circular on the content of the “cross double test”, that is, the “four negative proof.
The content of the embassy’s notice shows that
In response to the epidemic situation in South Africa, our embassy implemented the “cross-double testing” measure on January 3 for people entering from South African neighboring countries and taking flights to China, and achieved good results. In order to further improve the work of foreign defense input, firmly plug the loopholes, to protect the safety of Chinese citizens traveling in South Africa to return home channel, decided from now on to take the Air China Joburg-Shenzhen flight to China to fully implement the “cross double testing”, namely
- All passengers will be required to take one nucleic acid and one IgM antibody test at Pathcare and one at Ampath before boarding and upload them at the same time.
- For each throat swab and blood sample, a photo of the sample must be taken by the person with the passport page (both the face and passport page must be legible) and uploaded together with the passport page, itinerary, and proof of negative nucleic acid test and IgM antibody test from both institutions.
- Submit the application to the consulate general or embassy in Durban, Cape Town and Joburg for review according to the consular district where the sample was taken.
All applications for nucleic acid code audit must be submitted before 4:00 pm on the day of flight departure, late submissions will not be audited.
The Chinese Embassy in South Africa once again reminds all travelers to China to consider the risk of the epidemic and the necessity of travel, and to “not travel unless necessary”. After testing, it is important to strictly isolate your home and room to avoid post-testing infection.
At the moment, the embassy has not yet made an official announcement on the Australian Embassy page, which means that Australian partners who want to return to China do not need to prepare the “four negative certificates” for the time being, but do not rule out the need for them later!
However, even if you get a double negative certificate in Australia now, you may not be able to return to your home country, because the embassy rules, “non-essential, non-urgent, do not travel”, no necessary, urgent matters, so stay at home.
