China fears “all fallen” outbreak spreads 8 provinces

Recently, Hebei province has been the hardest hit by the epidemic in China, with an increase of about 400 local cases in just 10 days since Jan. 2, followed by an outbreak in Heilongjiang province.

According to China’s National health Commission, 90 new cases were confirmed in Hebei on the 12th, 16 in Heilongjiang and 1 in Shanxi.

For example, a case of imported asymptomatic infection was found in Hutubi County, Changji Prefecture, Xinjiang on the 6th, a truck driver from Shijiazhuang; 2 asymptomatic infections were found in Yuzi District, Jinzhong City, Shanxi Province on the 11th, both with a history of sojourning in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, one of whom was referred for confirmation on January 12th, and another case of imported asymptomatic infection from Shijiazhuang was found in Haining City, Zhejiang Province on the 13th, a railroad employee.

Hebei epidemic has not yet subsided, Heilongjiang Province and up. The Heilongjiang Provincial Health and Wellness Commission informed on the 13th that there were 16 new cases in Heilongjiang Province, including 13 cases of asymptomatic infections in Wangkui County that turned into confirmed cases, and another 3 cases from Xiangfang District, Harbin. The 12 new cases of asymptomatic infections came from 2 cases in Wangkui County, 2 cases in Suihua Beilin District, 7 cases in Angangxi District, and 1 case in Da Yishan County, all of which were close contacts of confirmed cases and asymptomatic infections in Huizhou Village, Huizhou Town, Wangkui County.

Wangkui County, where the epidemic first broke out, has been sealed off, but the epidemic is suspected to have spread rapidly, with infected people appearing in Suihua, Harbin, Qiqihar and Yichun in the province, as well as in Changchun, Jilin Province and Weihai, Shandong Province.

The Beijing Daily also reported that as of 4 p.m. on January 13, the number of confirmed cases in Wangkui County had increased to 14, with 32 asymptomatic infections, and that infections associated with Wangkui County had been found in 8 cities in 3 provinces in just 3 days. According to incomplete statistics, the current round of the outbreak has led to at least 79 infections.

According to the Jilin Provincial Health and Wellness Committee on the 13th, from 0 to 24:00 on January 12, 7 new cases of asymptomatic infections were reported in Jilin Province, including 3 cases of imported asymptomatic infections in Heilongjiang Province and 4 cases of associated asymptomatic infections; and the day before that, 7 new cases of asymptomatic infections were also reported in Changchun City, Jilin Province, all of which were imported from Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province, and their close contacts.

In addition, Weihai City, Shandong Province, also issued a notification that one case of asymptomatic infection was found on the 12th, and was a person from Wangkui County, Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province. This person attended a wedding in Wangkui County, Heilongjiang Province on January 6, and took a flight back to Weihai from Harbin on January 9, becoming the first local outbreak in Shandong Province since January this year.

Currently, provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanxi, Tianjin, Wuhan, Anhui and Guizhou have all seen action tracks with confirmed cases in Hebei, and China’s epidemic is feared to be a full-blown major outbreak.

With the rapid spread of the epidemic, China’s National Health Commission spokesman Mi Feng 13 also had to admit that China’s epidemic this year has a long duration, involving a wide range, rapid spread, the patient’s age, the proportion of rural areas and other characteristics, the current situation of the epidemic in China is complex and serious; China’s National Health and Health Commission CDC ombudsman Wang Bin also said that the traditional New Year’s Eve, China’s epidemic faces a “big test”, so the “Spring Festival” during the “non-essential do not travel”.
