U.S. President Donald Trump said in a January 1 tweet that evidence of massive election fraud will be made public when a joint session of Congress convenes on January 6.
The president also said in the tweet, “We’ve won the election, big win!”
Trump also retweeted a December 30 statement by Republican Senator Josh Hawley, who announced that he would oppose the electoral college vote on January 6.
“The voices of millions of Americans who have serious concerns about the integrity of this election should be heard,” Hawley said in a statement. “Someone must stand up and the voices of the 74 million American voters cannot be ignored.”
So far, Mr. Hawley and about 40 House Republicans have announced they will challenge the electoral College results on January 6 because of fraud and irregularities in the election process.
Trump has backed the Republican challenge and recently met with Representative Mo Brooks, who first proposed the challenge, and other Republicans who have followed up on the plan.
Trump adviser Jason Miller told Newsmax earlier this week that the Trump team would turn over more evidence of election fraud.
“We will have the opportunity next week to present all the evidence in front of the American people,” Miller said, noting that Representative Louie Gohmert had filed a lawsuit to prevent Vice President Mike Pence from confirming Biden. Pence’s Justice Department lawyer later said pence should not have been charged and That Gohmert should have sued Congress.
On January 6, Trump’s team will show evidence of electoral fraud if Hawley and other Republican lawmakers challenge a state’s electoral College results. A challenge to the electoral vote requires a simultaneous dissenting opinion from one member of both houses.
In an interview, Mr. Miller said swing states like Wisconsin had tampered with mail-in ballot laws. Officials at the State Farm Centre in Atlanta, Georgia, stole boxes of ballot papers on the night of November 3rd (counting them without citizen monitors); Michigan and Arizona prevented The Trump team from reviewing the counting system.
“We need to show all kinds of evidence to the American people,” Says Mr Miller. “Local politicians cannot be allowed to cover it up.”
The president has called on supporters several times to attend a rally in Washington on January 6.
