The U.S. has developed a vaccine for COVID-19, also known as the Chinese Communist virus, and has begun vaccinating the entire country. Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said in a statement Friday (Dec. 18) that the U.S. success in developing the vaccine was not a coincidence and that the Chinese Communist Party continues to suppress public opinion and spread false information.
“It has been a year since China first identified a patient with an unidentified pneumonia (now known as COVID-19) in Wuhan. Since then, the United States and other free countries, such as Germany and the United Kingdom, have been leading a remarkable and unprecedented vaccine development effort that offers hope to the world.” He said in the statement.
“This is no accident. Time and time again, capitalist democracies that value transparency, the rule of law, property rights and free markets are providing innovative solutions to public health crises. Freedom unleashes human potential, and competition drives better outcomes at lower costs.” Pompeo said.
In contrast, authoritarian regimes control information and stifle innovation,” he added. The Chinese Communist Party punishes brave Chinese scientists, doctors and journalists who tried to alert the world to the dangers of a spreading virus; instead, the CCP allowed a controlled outbreak to turn into a global pandemic.”
Pompeo also mentioned that the CCP continues to cover up to this day, while vaccines developed by the CCP are unsafe due to the lack of a rigorous testing process.
“Even today, almost a year after the world learned of the outbreak from the earliest days, the CCP is still spreading false information about the virus and obstructing the World Health Organization’s investigation into its origin and spread. The CCP is also peddling vaccines that lack basic data on safety and efficacy because they have no regard for transparency and accountability of clinical trial results. Both of these actions put Chinese citizens and the world at risk.” He said.
Pompeo called on the Chinese Communist Party to be transparent about the epidemic or risk another pandemic in the future.
The world should demand that the Chinese (Communist Party) government guarantee transparency about the origins and spread of the pandemic – which has killed more than a million people and destroyed millions of lives,” he said. If they fail to do so, the CCP’s record on public health crises could trigger another pandemic originating in China in the future.”
